We’re going back to basics with loads of old fashioned family fun: wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, apple picking in our apple orchard, and pick your own sunflowers + a sunflower stroll. The kids can cruise around our re-designed SBF 500 Tryke Track, play on the Playground, Giant Jumping Pillow, Spider Web, animated Chicken Show & explore our 5 acre Corn Maze. All included in the price of admission! We also have Gem Mining for an extra fee. Timed tickets must be purchased in advance HERE.

Howell Living History Farm, 70 Woodens Lane, Hopewell

Planting and pruning is only finished when the Osage orange hedgerow is ‘horse high and hog tight.’ Help farmers trim these natural fences, and gather fallen oranges for use in the farmhouse basement...where their scent is thought to discourage insects and spiders from taking up residence. Discover evidence of Pleasant Valley's historic landscape by joining farmers for hedgerow walks and talks, and learn about a project to map the Osage orange hedgerows of Mercer County. After, enjoy live music performed by the Jugtown Mountain String Band and a bowl of Ice Cream Jim's famous ice cream.**Please note that fall 2020 Saturday programs will be modified to encourage social distancing and reflect current State guidelines for public events. Visitors are required to carry masks at all times, and wear them when social distancing isn't possible.

Visiting our barnyard of animals, adventure barn, Hay Bale Maze, Pony rides, pumpkin picking & painting, pedal tractors, and exploring the Farm Trail are some of the delights that await you each weekend. Have fun at the hippity hop corral and duck races. Enjoy the live music from noon - 4pm, take in the fresh air and open space of the farm. Walk among the sunflowers on the sunflower trail and wind your way through the corn stalk maze.

The Railroad offers a safe place for families to enjoy all the fun and excitement of Halloween. Bring the kids and climb aboard our 45 minute Trick or Treat Excursion. Children of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes, helping to add to the train’s already child friendly and festive atmosphere. Enjoy the trip, while participating in the live reading of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Cheerful, seasonal songs will also be performed by one of the railroad’s musicians. After arriving back in New Hope, passengers will have the opportunity to trick or treat around the station platform for more treats and surprises with our costumed characters! Official railroad trick or treat bags, assorted trinkets, and candy will be handed out both onboard the train as well as at the station!
