Don’t worry about lunch, there’s lots of homemade farm fresh food – soup, chili, hot dogs, pies, cider donuts, apple cider, and more! Wine tasting in the Terhune Orchards Vineyard and Winery tasting room. Terhune Orchards features live music played by some of our best local talent (between noon and 4 pm).

Morven Museum and Garden

Richard “The Duke” Stockton, (1790-1837) wrote proudly of his “cider as fine as wine.” This October, Morven celebrates its second generation of Stocktons with a free family day highlighting Morven’s apple orchards, heritage cooks, and harvest time activities popular in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The day’s activities include costumed reenactors and hands-on demonstrations, including cider making, distilling, and cooking. There will be pickling, preserving and sweetmeats demos. Foodways to America and the important role of enslaved people in bringing new foods to this country will be recognized. Families will enjoy live period music and try the dances of the time. Take-home crafts for all ages include making corn husk dolls and printing with apples. The museum will be open and free to the public from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Come join the Halloween Fun at Fernbrook Farms with our scavenger hunt in the meadow maze, games in the barnyard, wagon ride around the farm, campfire in the woods, and so much more! A great evening for the whole family to make Halloween memories! The evening will start in our “Not-So-Scary” barnyard where guests can enjoy a wide variety of Halloween themed games, snacks, refreshments, spirited decorations, and a special photo booth. Hayrides will leave the barnyard area every 15-20 minutes and the first stop will be at our Meadow Maze to meet our friendly Scarecrow who will give you your ‘mission’ of finding the meadow ‘insects’ and more. After the mission is complete, the wagon ride will take you to our campfire where you can sip hot chocolate, roast marshmallows, and listen to campfire stories. Feel free to stay at the campfire as long as you want before joining the wagon ride back to the barnyard. **EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICING**

While other Halloween programs are designed to frighten, our goal is to educate and enchant We attempt to make the children feel comfortable in the outdoors, and hope to engender a feeling of awe and respect for nature, all while having fun.
