This is a parent/guardian participation class that is supervised by one of our experienced Toddler Class Instructors. It is a wonderful way to introduce your baby to the thrill of basic movement/motor development as well as socialization and interaction with others. 19 months–36 months This is also a parent/guardian participation class that is supervised by one of our experienced Toddler Class Instructors. In addition to basic movement/motor development, socialization, and interaction with others, more time is spent on skills that challenge this age group more. Gymnastic apparatus is utilized to teach hanging, balancing, swinging, jumping, rolling, stretching, twisting and turning as well as familiarity with basic gymnastic skills. 3 years – 6 years Children 3 years old and up have an extra opportunity to work on skills they have been learning in classes or to reinforce skills they have already acquired. Instructors are on hand to provide guidance to your child.

New Jersey State Museum

The Small Explorers program has added a third session starting this month! Sessions are offered on the 3rd weekend of each month - Friday at 2 pm, and Saturday at 10 am and 12 noon. October’s Small Explorers program theme is Land of Pines/conservation. We’ll read Tall Tall Tree” by Anthony D. Fredericks, then visit the “Preserving the Pinelands” exhibit, then head back to the classroom, where families can try painting with pine needles, investigate a tree touch-box, and learn about the animals who live in the pines. This free program is offered Friday at 2 pm and Saturday at 10 am and 12 noon. It’s designed for children 6 months to 5 years old and their caregiver. Space is limited, reservations are required. Registration form is on the Museum website, email completed form to Kerry.Scott@sos.nj.gov to reserve your spot. Reservation requests must be received by 10:00 am the Friday.

New Jersey State Museum

Visit the Planetarium Friday evening for a special nighttime star talk in the Planetarium, then hop in your car and follow us a short drive to the Washington Crossing Park Simpson Observatory (weather permitting). The Amateur Astronomy Association of Princeton will be on hand with telescopes to observe the night sky and help visitors with their use. If viewing conditions are poor, immediately following the sky talk guests will see a free Planetarium show.
