Team Parkinson 5K & Fun Run at Carnegie Center

Join us for the Team Parkinson 5K & Fun Run at Carnegie Center and help raise awareness and funds for much-needed research into Parkinson’s disease. Proceeds support Parkinson’s disease research. In addition to the 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, there will be family-friendly activities—with a Kids’ Zone, Refreshments, Door Prizes, and a Parkinson’s Disease Information Booth. Walkers, families, individuals, and teams are welcome. The 5K is a USATF Certified Course, and Sanctioned Race; USATF-NJ Grand Prix Event: 500 points. There are timed mile markers and water stops along the relatively fast, flat, and scenic road course. Split Second Racing will provide Bib Chip Timing. Awards are given based on the gun time of the start of the race, and age-category up to 85 and above, Top 3 Male/Female, and Top 3 Corporate/Open Teams.

Plus, there are contests for everyone: a bake-off, homegrown vegetable contest, kids’ art, photography, and even a doggie dress-up contest for our furry family members.

This is a free, rain-or-shine event that offers many additional fun activities throughout the afternoon.
