Has completed Beginner kids Camp and is entering 5th grade or above. If your young sewist wants more project challenges, here is a perfect next step from Beginners camp! Learn sewing techniques with fun projects perfect for a PJ party! We will learn to sew a pair of Pajama pants (or shorts), a pillowcase with French seams, a nicely lined drawstring bag, a pennant banner, and bonus little projects too in space time. By the end of the week the student will be comfortable with reading a pattern, cutting out projects with dressmaker shears, and creating a clean finish on projects
Camps are available Monday to Friday with 2 daily sessions to choose from: 9am-12pm and/or 1pm-4pm. There is a different Camp Theme every 2 weeks: Jungle Safari, Gymnastics, Ninja Training, Carnival & STEAM. During Camp, children will enjoy structured gym activities revolving around the theme, music/dancing, free play, arts/crafts, and snack time. You may sign up for all ten weeks or pick the amount of sessions that work for you and secure those dates in advance. If you want to drop in for the day, 2-day notice is required.

Entering 4th grade and above, and eagerness to learn sewing. A whole week of sewing to introduce young students to machine sewing! We focus on learning basic skills, and build on them as the week progresses making practical but fun projects perfect for beginners. By the end of the week the goal is that she/he will possess the knowledge and confidence to sew projects at home for gifts or themselves.
The MAKER movement has fostered and re-invigorated the hands on exploration of science, art, technology, and engineering. Discover the MAKER movement by joining this Makerspace camp! Explore programming, computer aided design, electronics and more. Using 3D printers, laser engravers, littleBits, Arduino based robots as well as hammers, screwdrivers, and wood, and come see what you can create. We hope to provide an encouraging environment for our female scientists, whether they are passionate mad scientists or just started a budding interest in STEAM fields. Our Makers will go home with new knowledge and skills that we hope will encourage them to continue the MAKER movement.

Featured shows: 10:00 am - Earth, Moon and Sun (all ages); 11:00am - Magic Tree House (suitable for preschool and up); and 1:00pm - Dark Universe (general audiences).
This month’s Storytimes at Morven Museum & Garden are read by our Curator of Education and Public Programs Debra Lampert-Rudman and one of Morven’s docents and are followed by visits to Morven’s gardens and special take-home crafts! Bring along a hat and your favorite blanket for storytime! July 26: The Very Big Carrot at Morven! What would YOU do with a very big carrot? Join us for a reading of Satoe Tone’s luscious book The Very Big Carrot and meet six rabbits who have some very interesting ideas of things to do with a very big carrot. Following our reading, we will design our own very big carrot to take home! All craft materials supplied.
We could all learn a thing about the importance of slowing down from sloths. Take the time to sloooow down from your busy schedule and paint this adorably slow sloth.
Come in and play on our play floor designed specifically for crawlers up to 5 years of age. Free play on our equipment and play floor in a safe and clean indoor play area. Open play Gym is free for all members. Drop in rates are available for non-members.
Here, the participant will have an extra opportunity to work on skills he or she has been learning in classes or reinforce skills already acquired. Instructors are on hand to provide guidance to all participants.
The Arts Council of Princeton, in partnership with the Princeton Shopping Center, presents the 2018 Summer Courtyard Concert Series. This summer’s performers include Dirk Quinn Band, Blawenburg Band, Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, DCFusion, Trinidelphia, BRIZ and the Revival, Grace Little Band, Eco Del Sur, Octavia Blues Band, and Michael Austin. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, grab dinner in the shopping center and enjoy the free concert series every Thursday. Ample parking is available at the Princeton Shopping Center.
