Meditation is a practical tool to calm the mind and let go of stressors. This class includes movement, mindfulness exercises and meditation instruction to engage kids (ages 5-8). The benefits of meditation for kids include: enhances focus and self-control, fosters self-esteem and self-love, supports emotional development and empathy. Parents can wait in the waiting room or drop child off for the class.

Terhune Orchards Read and Explore Program is our winter education series, following the popular seasonal Read and Pick Program. This program is Birds, Nesting and Birdhouses. Birds are getting ready for spring and new families. The program lasts about an hour and includes a story and educational component. After story time each child will make a birdhouse and nesting materials to take home. Everyone is welcome.

Soar through the skies in the Museum’s spacious Planetarium, featuring precision projection of more than 6000 stars. The planetarium features a Full Dome Video giving visitors the sensation of zooming through the Solar System and beyond. Five shows are featured: 11:00 am - One World, One Sky (ages 3-6 with adults); 12:00pm - Magic Tree House: Space Mission (suitable for preschool and up); 1:00pm - Laser Space Chase (general audiences); 2:00 pm - Dark Universe (general audiences), 3:00pm - Wildest Weather in the Solar System.

In this family-friendly program, learn about the important role this fish served for both the Lenape and Colonists. Join us with your 4 or 5 year old for a FREE “Rhythm Kids” Demo Class. Your child will experience 45 minutes of rhythm play, music games, movement, improvisation, and djembe drumming. Rhythm Kids is Music Together’s new drumming curriculum for older children that immerses students in the amazing world of drumming through a host of fun rhythm activities. Students learn, create, discover, and explore music with multicultural rhythms from around the world. Rhythm Kids Level 1 is a parent child class.
