An astronaut has been stranded on the red planet. Imagine it was you? What would you need to do to survive? In this week-long camp we will learn about Mars and its environment. We'll design a landing system and rover for exploring Mars's surface, discuss habitats that we could survive in, and compare Earth and Mars's temperature. We'll construct a model of the Solar System and compare planetary sizes, use play dough to create models of lava flows to analyse the layers that form a planet and much more. Projects and activities will depend on the age of the participants. Camp is a week-long event Possibility of day-by-day registrations - contact us if you are interested.

Explore the existence of crocodiles in New Jersey throughout their evolution. Crocodylians have been on the Earth for over 200 million years, and the wide diversity of crocodile species found in the Garden State’s fossil record is amazing. The exhibit delves into the fossil history of crocs in NJ, with preserved croc-like trackways dating back almost 200 million years and a nearly complete skeleton of crocodylian Hyposaurus rogersii, which lived in what is now Gloucester Co., NJ about 65 million years ago. Visitors will also come face-to-face with a six-foot skull reconstruction of Deinosuchus, one of the largest crocodiles to ever live.

Helena Clare Pittman and Victoria Raymond’s picture book and Morven’s Masters of Illusion exhibition will inspire young artists as they hear the story read by Morven’s Curator of Education, view some pieces in the exhibition, and then create their own still life watercolor paintings. Children will take home their paintings and stew recipe.

Our certified yoga instructor will incorporate yoga which as you know has profound benefits on our bodies, minds, and hearts, so why not start early! Our class is also designed to teach kids to stay healthy, use their imagination, and think positively - all valuable life skills they can use into adulthood. All of the exercises & breathing and meditation techniques will be child-appropriate. Crafts, movement, singing, dance, and puppetry will be also be incorporated into our storytime to expose them to the various layers literature. There will always be a language-based game at the end of each storytime to review concepts learned during a book. It's a great way to practice paying attention, following directions, developing pre-reading skills, and socializing. We believe that is it is never too early to read to your children, so join us for some stories at Princeton Playspace!
