STEM Makers World is a MakerSpace for KIDS designed to inspire young minds to engage, tinker, and innovate. Young Makers will develop a Growth Mindset and Discover the Fun of Imagination, the Joy of Building, and the Pride of Creation through Project-based Maker-centered activities and hands-on STEM learning opportunities. Using the tools of design thinking, creative ideation, reflective practice, experimental play and working in groups, students will strengthen their skills of problem-solving, creativity, critical-thinking, communication and collaboration—also known as 21st century skills. The program promotes Imagination, Ingenuity and Empowers Curiosity. Imagine what you can Learn, if you Learn to Imagine!

Washington Crossing Historic Park

Washington Crossing Historic Park will hold its annual Memorial Day observance at the gravesite of Continental soldiers. The observation will include a colonial color guard, the Old Barracks Fife & Drum Corps, Revolutionary War reenactors, the Guardians of the National Cemetery Firing Party, Daughters of the American Revolution, veterans, Boy Scouts, and other honored guests. During the event, American flags will be placed on the graves.

Then, we’ll take a walk in Morven’s garden looking for earthworms (weather permitting) All children will go home with instructions and some materials for starting their own mini backyard worm farm. Admission is $10 per family, or free with a family membership.

The problem? Some of the town members, especially the stern librarian, Marian Paroo, don’t quite buy Harold’s story. As Harold struggles to keep his scheme afloat, he also finds himself falling head-over-heels for the beautiful Marian. As All-American as apple pie and as charming as can be, The Music Man is a crowd-pleasing show and perfect for the patriot in everyone.

First, they'll get creative painting their own species of shark with a variety of metallic paints, then parents and kids will settle in for a 45 minute Hands On Educational program about Sharks and other aquatic creatures, including Touching a live Shark and other creatures from under the sea.
