Fernbrook Farms Education Center

Details: Fernbrook Farms is NJ’s premiere nature camp engaging campers by exploring the complex interconnectedness of our natural world on our 230-acre farm.  Through hands-on choice activities, campers are inspired to pursue their natural curiosities in our creek, meadow, pond, forest, and more!  At Fernbrook Farms, your kids might get a little dirty; to be honest, they’re going to get dirty for sure, but that’s what happens when kids are truly active and experience nature personally!

Our goal is that each child leaves our farm with a sixth sense, a sense of appreciation of the natural world, agriculture, and healthy lifestyles.   We engage kids with our farm animals and inspire exploration in our ecosystems, which lead to future stewardship for the environment.  Favorite activities include exploring the creek for bugs & fossils, building shelters in our forests, catching fish at the pond, harvesting & cooking fresh vegetables from our children’s garden, and wishing the day wouldn’t come to an end!

We offer full-day (8:30 – 4) camp for 5-14 yr olds  and partial day (11-12:30) for 3-5 yr olds. For the 12-14 year olds, overnight camping options are available.  Also, extended day and transportation options are available.

Come visit the farm and meet our animals during one of our OPEN HOUSES: 2/24, 3/24, 4/21 & 6/2, 1-3 pm.

Want your children to also have some outdoor activities.  Signup for our Adventure Sleepaway Camp (age 10-15), which offers rock climbing, high/low ropes, zip-lining, hiking, canoeing/kayaking and more.  Campers will learn to take responsible risk, think critically, and creatively, lead and follow, communicate effectively, and much more!

Children that like STEM also have the option of joining our Technology & Engineering Camp (age 9-15).  Our new, carefully-designed, proficiency-guided course of coding concept and skills allows students to move at their own pace through scaffolded lessons building incredible projects.  Technical skills and creative problem-solving are guaranteed in a fun and exciting environment.
