Celebrate the maker movement by learning new skills and being creative while making a difference to our planet. Workshops will include upcycling materials such as towels and t-shirts to create t-shirt totes and patchwork dog beds that can be used by local food banks and animal shelters. Participants can also learn about endangered species and make a piece of art that will be on display during the library’s annual Princeton Environmental Film Festival. 11 am – 2 pm, Make a Difference Stations in the Community Room. Join Pennington Quilt Works at sewing stations to create no-shred dog mats. Finished projects will be donated to a local shelter for homeless pets. Bring a gently loved t-shirt or two (or use some of ours) to create upcycled tote bags – one for you, and one to donate to a local food pantry. 2 pm – 3:30 pm, Eco-Art Project in the 3rd floor STEAM Studio.
