Every little ghost, goblin, and creature of night, loves to come in costume and go batty searching for ghoulish Halloween eggs, filled with boo-licious bites! So, be sure to come dressed up in your favorite costume. Not-so-scary Halloween fun, activities, and music are our tricks. So, reserve your time and date, but you better hurry, before it's too late! It's going to be fangtastic! We hope you fly in for the hunt! ​ Participants will search through their designated age zone to recover 12 Halloween eggs! Trade in your eggs for an Eggstra special Halloween treat! ZONE AREAS FOR AGES: 1-2, 3-5, & 6-8 Hundreds of eggs per zone! This workshop is inspired by Morven’s latest exhibition, Newark and the Culture of Art: 1900-1960. Stuart Davis, one of the exhibition’s featured artists, was widely known for his collages and use of brilliant color, abstraction, lettering, movement, and musicality. Each child’s art will be based on words and objects of their choice and created while listening to music of the period – plus a group 'exhibition.' No previous art experience required and each artist will take home his/her collage.

Fall is our favorite time of year around here…come join in the harvest at PumpkinFest! Fun includes wagon rides to the apple orchard (when in season) &/or pumpkin patch, apple picking, pumpkin picking, a Johnny Appleseed-themed corn maze, jumping pillows, inflatable attractions, the ALL NEW Sports Challenge and lots more festival fun. Last wagon ride leaves at 4pm, field closes at 5pm.

The largest planetarium facility in New Jersey features a Full Dome Video giving visitors the sensation of zooming through the Solar System and beyond. Four shows are featured: 11:00 am - One World, One Sky (ages 3-6 with adults); 12:00pm - Magic Tree House: Space Mission (suitable for preschool and up); 1:00pm - Laser Halloween (general audiences); 2:00 pm - Wildest Weather in the Solar System (general audiences).

The Origins of Halloween Night Hike

Join us on a journey through the woods on a crisp autumn night. You will follow your guide on a trail of glowing Jack O’ Lanterns; along the way you stop to meet the characters in an Irish Folktale that unfolds along the path. The founders of New Jersey’s Original Jack O’ Lantern Night Hike are bringing their 30 year tradition to a new home at the Watershed. While other Halloween programs are designed to frighten, our goal is to educate and enchant. Guided hikes begin every 15 minutes; last hike begins at 8:15 PM.
